Jeff Geist graduated from Montezuma High school then attended Garden City Community College on a football scholarship. He went on to St. Mary of the Plains College where he graduated, which he also attended there on a football scholarship. His coaching experience started at Ransom High School where he was assistant football coach for 8 years, head boys basketball for 4 years, and the head track coach from 8 years. He went on and coached at Sacred Heart High School also. He’s now found at Abilene High School. Jeff, coached at the middle school in football and track, but now you can find him in the spot of Head Coach for Abilene Middle School track, which he’s been doing for 4 years now. He’s the Head Football Coach for the Cowboy’s and has been in this position for 2 years. In the high school he has been running the Power Lifting for 7 yrs. He’s married to Janelle, who’s also a teacher at AHS and the head basketball coach for the Abilene Cowgirls. He has 3 daughters, Jessica, Courtney, and Morgan.
Assistant Coaches-
Greg Dutt grew up in Lawrence, KS where he played football and wrestled in high school. He graduated BS and MS at Fort Hays State University, while going to school in Fort Hays he played football for 4 years. Before coming to Abilene he taught and coached at Otis-Bison. He’s married to Sandra Dutt and has 2 girls, Abby and Alexis.
Casey Callis grew up in Clayton, New Mexico where he enjoyed playing football. After graduating high school he came to Kansas where he attended Emporia State University. He’s now a Art teacher at Abilene Middle School. Casey’s married to Jeni Callis and has one son, Noah, which he loves spending as much time with them.
Nathan Howard grew up in Atwood, Ks where he wrestled and played football. After Atwood High School, Nathan, went to Butler County Community College, then on to Fort Hays State. He’s newly married to Jennifer. He likes old cars, his dog, Avery, paint balling, shooting pool, football, fishing, and hunting.
Dallas Meneley grew up in Meriden, KS where he played football, basketball, and baseball. After high school, Dallas, went to Emporia State University, then on to Kansas State University. He is currently a special education teacher at Kennedy Elementary School. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and going to college and professional sporting events.
Brad Hartman grew up in Abilene, KS and graduated from Abilene High School in 1993. Brad attended Sterling College on a track scholarship before transferring to Kansas State University. He taught and coached in the Garnett school district for seven years before returning to Abilene, where he has now been teaching 7th grade Math at Abilene Middle School. His wife, Jenell, and I have three sons, Damian 7, Nathan 4, and Aaron 2. One of Brad’s favorite things to do is watch football and attend Auburn University football games when he can find the time.
Jason Zey grew up in Abilene, KS and graduated from Abilene High School in 2001. Jason attended Kansas State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in marketing and minor in Economics in December of 2004. Jason returned to Kansas State in the summer of 2006 and completed secondary education certification in social studies and business. One of Jason’s favorite things to do is watch football and attend Kansas State University football games. He also likes wrestling, hunting, and fishing.
