Attention Parents:  We will have a meeting about the Chicago Trip on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 7pm in the AHS Band Room.  Please enter through the SW entrance nearest the tennis courts.  Topics include:  itinerary, costs, contracts, registration information and there will be time to answer any questions you might have.  Students will need $100 turned in or already in their account by Sept. 15.  The remainder of the balance (which should be under $700... more info at parent meeting) is due by October 20th.

31    3:30-4:30pm        Rehearsal with dance team at stadium

31    5:50pm        Home marching performance vs. Scott City (uniform up in band room, wear black socks and band shirt)

September

12    TBA            AHS State Fair Marching Festival - Hutchinson (leave early, home before school is out)

21    6pm call        Combined halftime show performance.  Band shirts (no uniforms).  Meet in AHS Band room 6pm.

October

5    6pm call        Homecoming performance vs. Marsyville, uniform up 6pm (band shirts and black socks)

12    3-9:30pm        Abilene/Chapman Band Exchange @ AHS, practice with CHS after school, dinner provided by Band-Aids

25    6pm call        Final home marching performance vs Smoky Valley, Senior Recognition Night (Note: this is a Thursday)

           

November       

1    TBA            AHS Jazz Band to Kansas Wesleyan Jazz Festival, Salina

3    TBA            AHS auditions for KMEA District Honor Band in Junction City (select individuals)

16    8pm            Raise the Roof  (7:10pm call time) - band shirts

20    TBA            AHS Band Leaves for nationally televised Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade (returns on 24th)

December

1    TBA            AHS NC Dist Honor Band Concert @ Manhattan HS (those that qualified Nov 3rd)

4    6:40pm        Orange Pep Band vs Rock Creek, band shirts

7    8am-3pm        AHS Christmas Tour of Schools Jazz Band & Singers

16    6pm            AHS Vespers - Band & Choir in AHS Auditorium, 5:30pm call

18    5:20pm        BOTH pep bands vs Chapman, band shirts

21    6:40pm        Brown pep band vs Buhler, band shirts, be sure to find a replacement and let Mr. T know if you can’t be there
