Academics Bio:
Abilene High School
Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education-Marymount of Salina
Masters in Elementary Education-Kansas State University
Teaching Experience:
I have taught 10 Years at St. Andrews School.  While there I taught 2 - 4 grades.  Two years were in a combination class room of 2/3 graders and 3/4 graders. I even loop with a class. I also taught art, computer and library skills.  For the building I was the NCA coordinator.                        1989-1999
I then taught second grade for 2 Years in Junction City.  For the building I was the NCA co-coordinator.                 1999-2001
Since 2001, I have been a Technology Facilitator at McKinley and Garfield Elementary schools in Abilene.  In this position I have worked with teachers to coordinate projects and classroom assignments.  I have facilitated the keyboarding program to second through fifth graders.
The fifth grade teachers and myself were selected by Ball Sate to assist with the Electronic Field Trip.  For this project I created a web site to help educate the community about the school’s project and how the students of the community would be involved.  I am currently facilitating the Sate and MAP Assessments for both buildings.
On Friday’s I work with a group of students on computer programs that are used in the classrooms.  These students become the experts for that program or technology.  The teacher then can rely on these students to help with the programs, when the projects are created.
