¥I liked the samples from the High School kids.  IÕm already thinking of ways to modify for 4th grade to incorporate with curriculum and as enrichment.

¥Showboy center was great!  IÕll use these ideas within classroom also.

¥IÕm impressed with middle school lesson plans.

¥Great incorporation of vocab as well as using organizing (K.W.L.).

¥Great job, all of you!

¥Projects keep students continually on task.

¥Great ideas to engage students in learning during each class period.

¥Very age appropriate.

¥Awesome biography project (I want to take your class!!)  Such a great way to teach the artists and their techniques.  I wish AHS still had an annual Open House to publicly display this work

¥Such a creative plethora of centers!  I love that kids would have so many different art forms to experience.  Again - I want to get to do this!

¥Very interesting.

¥Enjoyed learning about what is used on each grade level.

¥Toni set a goal of teaching vocabulary words during her teaching. A second goal was to teach about artists.

¥Each student made books with a page about an artist and then did a painting like that artist did. This was a very informative presentation.

¥Alicia made art centers for students who finish projects early.  She was planning to use these at McKinley because 2nd and 3rd graders are usually the students who finish early.

¥She showed the centers she has made so far in shoe boxes.  She is developing a check-out list and rules to use the boxes.  Each box has directions written out and examples with supplies to make the project.

¥Centers are such a great idea for our McKinley students, Good idea, Alicia!

¥The 6-8 power point presentation was very interesting.

¥Good idea to research flowers before painting one.

¥Quizzes are given with vocabulary words.

¥Each student does a critique of a project before and after the project is started and then finished.

¥ Kids spend more time painting instead of ÒthinkingÓ about what to do.  Also, they get some background on each artist.

¥Assessing the students over vocabulary from each lesson of course makes sense.  I never thought about giving written tests in art class!  Super job of making sure that they are learning at a deeper level.
