*STC Carolina Bio Supply- Hands on kids, Emphasis on scientific process, & shared content of kits.

*4-5 teachers have integrated reading materials to address science standards not covered by kits and teach expository text for reading standards.

*Loved the Ôeagle swoopÕ idea.

* Neat idea to have kids work at own pace to construct electrical circuits in electricity unit.  *Cumul. activity-Commmunity water day.

*Discussed state Science experiment.  Ex: shared-car.

*Working on Science content materials to add. Ex: reading materials and videos.

*tt journals! Great accountability for students and opportunity to show what you know in creative ways.

*Can also see growth/development of individual understanding of scientific processes.  *Think.com-communicate with kids around the world-free.

*How to use ÔexpertÕ terms for Science instructions. Great idea!

*Blabbelizer idea shared.

*Like that they had reading materials to show.  great real world example of ÒteachingÓ the electrical circuit.  Great job of teaching it if students chose to make one out of construction paper.  Great job of reflecting on teaching & how to make it better.  Love the journals!  Great job making kids accountable by building expert teams.  Love think.com.  How innovative!

*Expository books to go along with Science units are a great way to integrate reading and Science.

*Science Journals-great way to teach note taking and hold kids accountable for their knowledge.

*Think.com-what a great way to use technology to get kids excited about Science.  Cooperative learning also another important aspect.

*If only she knew-the book was awesome! Makes you think...
