*K-5 – counseling not having to be an administrator

6-8 – bullying program

9-12 – KS career pipeline – 8th graders do this at pre-enrollemtn, too.

Very good! Well organized.

*3 presenters kept my attention. I learned what the counselors are doingat each level – class meeting/guidance lessons. Elementary and midlle school counselors both use a literature-based program – awesome! I liked how Gene Hartman showed the career website . . . showed us lots of tools/aspects of the site. I like the handout. . . helpful. Beemer was fun to see.

Rex – personal philosophy concerning bullying and how to address it

Gene and Sandy – how they use Kansas Career Pipeline – not only for students but also for adults, useful information as a parent also – great tool!

*Everyone shared interesting information. I have class meetings on a regular basis. The related handout helped me with focusing the meetings.

*Good reflection on counselors yesterday and today. Sharing about the therapy dog. Overview of Alweus Program and focus on respect. Dispelling of some common myths, desire is general respect. Great info on Career Pipeline. Good job. Enjoyed seeing the Career Pipeline emphasis on work. Loved Beemer. Enjoyed learning about an element of the education circle I seldom see.

*Well-organized, very interesting learning what counselors do. Nice hands-on approach with the computers. The hand outs on bullying were interesting.

*Counselors are more proactive now! Good explanation. Good information on number of kids counseled and how it is done! Bullying program @ AMS – class meetings – liked sample. Kansas Career Pipeline – great resource!
